COVINGTON – The Covington cross country program put forth a great performance on Saturday in the Buccaneer Invitational at the Covington Fraternal Order of Eagles Picnic Grounds as the Lady Buccs won the meet and the boys finished runner-up as a team.
Individually, Buccaneer senior Asher Long won the boy’s race with a time of 15:57.4, which broke the course record. His sister, Elyza Long, finished second in the girls race with a time of 20:12.5 and Johanna Welborn came in third with a time of 20:30.9.
